The Ukrainian system of education provides good quality education and is well developed. Ukraine is the 4th most educated nation in the world: 99.4% of Ukrainians aged 15 and over can read and write. 70% of adult Ukrainians have а secondary or higher education.
Ukraine has about 150 colleges and universities. Ukraine entered the international Bologna process (“The agreement of the Association of European Universities” of 1999) in 2005 to adapt to the European Educational system. Every year almost 200 thousand Ukrainians and citizens of other countries become students of higher educational institutions in Ukraine.
